My designs are created with established processes whereby I make decisions tailored to your company and brief. This is why it’s so important that we are on the same page from the very beginning - the design brief must clearly explain your company and what the project needs to achieve. Although we may naturally deviate from and develop the initial concepts as part of the design process, deviations from the initial brief or changing targets will incur further charges of which you will be notified accordingly. I will then take my time and experience to devise the best result for your project; accordingly, requests relating to design, colour and layout must be supported by clear reasoning.
Rounds of Revisions
During the design process, there will be “Rounds of Revisions”. I will present a proof and you will have a specified amount of time to provide revisions. After that time, I will summarise your changes for your approval. With your approval secured, the round of revision will end, I will make your changes and present a new proof for your approval.
As explained, I design using established processes to make the best decisions for your brief. That is also why your revisions should only take me two hours to complete and should not deviate at all from our initial brief. If they do, further costs will be incurred and you will be notified accordingly. Unless agreed otherwise, I will include two rounds of revisions in my costs; urgent projects typically permit fewer rounds.
Pricing and Payment
All payments must be received no later than 14 days after the date of invoice. If you can pay me on time, we’ll get on great together, so much so that if I receive the payment within 5 working days of the invoice date, I will take 2.5% of that payment off the cost of our next project together. All deposits for printing must be paid prior to proceeding to print, on the date specified. Failure to pay a deposit on time, may mean your project will be delayed going to print. Failure to pay within the specified time may incur, at my discretion, interest at a rate of 5% per month on top of the Bank of England base rate. I charge extra for urgent projects, at a minimum rate of 10%, which is included in the initial quote.
All prices quoted verbally or in writing are for the listed and discussed project only.
As a writer and designer, I study all text provided to me and will raise recommendations and correct mistakes as part of my process. However, whilst I endeavour to avoid errors, I accept no responsibility for typographical errors, spelling mistakes or incorrect information on any project committed to print or production. It is the responsibility of the client to proof-read and approve all final copy prior to production. The email confirmation given in the final approval stage will be conclusive. No refunds or reprints are provided after a final approved design has been sent to print due to oversights by the client’s proof-reading.
Where projects involve third parties engaged directly by the client, I will provide files as I am requested and will not be held responsible for further amendments and issues arising due to the quality of their service. To ensure swift and effortless communication, I am happy to and I recommend that I deal directly with third parties.
Once final proofs and materials have been agreed upon by yourself, I will not be held financially or otherwise responsible for any errors noticed after delivery.
Any damage, quality or delivery issues occurring as a result of suppliers must be brought to my attention within three working days in order that I may raise the appropriate concerns.
There may be some colour variations between the final printed product and what you have seen on screen or in previous orders; this is due to the nature of CMYK printing and bulk printing for which I am not liable.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all materials supplied have the relevant copyrights, licenses and permissions for use in this project - I will not accept liability for infringements caused by incorrectly supplied materials.
I retain all rights to design concepts and materials I produce. Complete ownership rights to the final concept transfer to the client following receipt of payment; unused concepts remain my property and I may still use paid-for concepts in my promotional materials and design portfolio. Unless requested otherwise, Grant | Creations retains the right to display a byline claiming credit on all work produced, except corporate stationary.
